BAM! Week 7, July 31, 2010
Ever have a week where everything comes together perfectly? I did. Today was the last pearl on the strand with a theater date with Camille to see In the Heights downtown. It was an inspirational story of hope, dreams, persistence and faith; of seeing a better way and reaching for it every day. Of relationships and connection. Of family and trust.
This week was full of unexpected beauty and inspiration for me. I feel graceful, confident, strong and happy. Tumbled by the ripples of friendship along the bedrock of family, I’m warmed by the light and polished to shine. This is a feeling I want to always remember.
The biggest memory I want to carry with me from this week? My daughter with her arms around my waist, hugging her face to me and laughing as we wandered back to our car after dinner tonight. A woman passing by gave us a smiling sideways glance confirming what I already felt: wow, this is pretty wonderful.
