‘tis the season

     

I accomplished exactly one thing today and it may be the most amazing thing I’ve ever done.  I made peppermint bark.

Yes, it’s that good.  And easy, although I don’t like the process being interrupted three times for chilling.  But worth it?  Oh, yes.

     

          

       

Basically, I melted white chocolate and then sprinkled it with peppermints, chilled, spread on melted bittersweet chocolate flavored with peppermint extract, chilled, spread on more white chocolate and more crushed peppermints and chilled again.    

     

Why haven’t I done this before, pray tell?

     

And just how long do you think this pretty jar will last?  Not until Christmas I’m sure!
